Welcome to the Integrated Terrorism Assessment Centre
Canadians are not immune to the threat of terrorism. While terrorism is not new, its complexity has increased since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
The continuing threat of terrorism facing Canadians, both at home and abroad, led to the creation of the Integrated Terrorism Assessment Centre (ITAC).
The Centre brings together the various participants in Canada’s security intelligence community—from the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) to police forces—to provide the Government of Canada with the information required to take action to prevent or reduce the effects and threat of terrorism on Canadians.
